This classic hummus recipe is quick, easy to make and it tastes delicious!
"Classic Hummus"
Ingredients
1 can chickpeas, drained
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cloves garlic
3 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 - 4 tablespoon water for consistency
Vegetables and pita chips, for serving
Directions
Put the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, cumin and garlic into a mixer and mix until smooth. With the motor running, slowly pour in the oil in a steady stream. Add the salt and pepper and puree until very smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add some water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
To serve, transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and enjoy!
